Jatin Joshi holds the position of Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and serves as an Assistant Attending Anesthesiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is dual-board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, specializing in interventional pain management. His roles include Director of Quality and Patient Safety and Director of Pain Education within the Division of Pain Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.
Dr. Joshi earned his B.S. in Public Health (2001) and M.D. (2006) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Distinguished Medical Scholar. He completed residency at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
His clinical focus revolves around minimally invasive therapies for chronic pain conditions such as spinal stenosis, sciatica, and complex regional pain syndrome. Key treatments include spinal cord stimulation, radiofrequency ablation, and epidural injections. His research spans opioid risk assessment, telemedicine integration, and computational drug discovery for pain management.
Dr. Joshi has received numerous accolades including the Harry S. Truman Scholarship, Castle Connolly Top Doctor distinction, and multiple institutional awards. His academic contributions are highlighted through peer-reviewed publications in journals like Journal of Biomolecular Structure & Dynamics and Pain Management.
