Dr. Jason Sit is the Associate Head (Global) in the Faculty of Business & Law at the University of Portsmouth, affiliated with the School of Strategy, Marketing and Innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Experiential Marketing from the University of Southern Queensland (2011). Previously, he served as Senior Lecturer in Retail Marketing at Bournemouth University (2013–2018) and as Tutor in Retail Marketing at the University of Surrey (2009–2013). His research focuses on customer experience, multichannel retailing, and brand morality, with publications in top journals like Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services and Psychology and Marketing. His work has garnered awards from the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management and Colloquium on European Research in Retailing.
Research interests include consumer behavior in retail contexts, brand ethics, and digital fashion consumption. He leads the CERR 2023 project on retail pricing and consumer behavior. Notable media contributions address serial returners, credit card usage trends, and post-pandemic shopping center dynamics.
