Jason Jaspersen

Jason Jaspersen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Studio Art at Bethany Lutheran College, where he contributes significantly to art education and creative practice. He teaches a wide range of courses including Painting, Sculpture, Art History, and Professional Practices, and serves as the Exhibitions Coordinator.

His academic interests focus on integrating experiential learning into art education, exploring apprenticeship models, and developing training frameworks for liturgical art. His versatile creative expertise spans bronze casting, plaster sculpting, oil and sumi ink painting, woodblock printing, bookbinding, digital illustration, video production, and sand animation.

The most recent creative and scholarly outputs reflect a strong engagement with media and public art education, including a television series and podcast contributions, alongside published illustrations. These works emphasize process, narrative, and community involvement in the arts.
