Jason F. Jagemann is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and Political Science at Norwich University's College of Arts & Sciences. He serves as Coordinator of the Political Science Program for undergraduate students, Pre-Law Advisor, and faculty advisor for the Political Science Club, Pre-Law Society, and Pi Sigma Alpha honor society.
He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from Western Michigan University and a B.A. in Political Science (minor in U.S. History) from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
Jagemann's research examines American politics through the lenses of public law, political behavior, and interest group dynamics. His work explores how institutions like Congress and the Supreme Court shape coalition building and lobbying strategies. Additional interests include democratic theory, feminist political thought, and the analysis of social media's impact on political engagement. Current research investigates Google Trends data as a proxy for public interest in Supreme Court decisions.
His publications consistently analyze institutional influences on political behavior and group representation, with recent focus on judicial federalism and issue salience in abortion politics.
He teaches diverse courses including U.S. Constitutional Law, Civil Liberties, Political Parties, Social Media & Politics, Research Methods, and Capstone Seminars at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
