Jason Clark

Jason Clark, M.D. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He serves as Medical Director of the PCU at Parkland Health and Hospital System and participates in Parkland's ED/MICU/Ward Patient Transition Committee and Transfusion Utilization Committee.

He earned his bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by medical school, internal medicine residency, and pulmonary/critical care fellowship training at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary and critical care medicine, he joined the faculty in 2013.

Dr. Clark's clinical and educational focus centers on critical care for Dallas's critically ill population, with emphasis on housestaff training within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. His work integrates bedside teaching with system-level improvements in patient care transitions and resource utilization.

As Medical Director of Parkland's PCU, he mentors residents and fellows in progressive care settings while leading committee initiatives to optimize patient flow between emergency, critical care, and ward environments. His transfusion committee role focuses on evidence-based blood product utilization protocols.

He collaborates within a multidisciplinary team at Parkland Health and Hospital System, contributing to clinical operations, quality improvement projects, and educational programming for the Department of Internal Medicine's housestaff.
