Dr. Jason C Rubenstein is an Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, affiliated with Froedtert Hospitals and the Heart and Vascular Center. He specializes in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiology, focusing on arrhythmia management, implantable devices, and cardiac MRI applications. His research integrates cardiac imaging with electrophysiological mechanisms to predict sudden cardiac death and investigate post-COVID myocardial involvement.
Dr. Rubenstein earned his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine (2001), followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital (2001–2004) and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (2004–2008).
His research spans cardiac MRI advancements for disease detection, radiation-induced cardiotoxicity, and pandemic impacts on cardiac patients. Recent work highlights multiparametric MRI for post-COVID myocardial analysis and fibrotic mechanisms in SARS-CoV-2 infections.
Publications emphasize imaging innovation (e.g., MRI linear accelerator integration) and clinical decision-making tools for atrial fibrillation ablation. He holds awards from the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.
Dr. Rubenstein collaborates on cardio-oncology and device-related studies, with affiliations spanning clinical and translational research teams. His clinical practice includes arrhythmia ablation, device implantation, and second opinions in cardiac electrophysiology.
