Eric M Bader, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in cardiac electrophysiology. He is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist at Yale New Haven Hospital and a member of Yale's internationally recognized lead management team.
Dr. Bader's clinical practice includes the implantation and management of cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) for prevention of sudden cardiac death, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) to treat heart failure. He also performs complex ablations of various arrhythmias including supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and atrial flutter.
His research interests focus on leadless pacing, cardiac resynchronization, and the heart rhythm impact of COVID-19 infection. Dr. Bader has been investigating how the pandemic has affected cardiac device management and heart rhythm disorders in patients with heart failure.
Dr. Bader is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
- Leo M. Davidoff Society Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students award
- Fellow of the American College of Cardiology
Dr. Bader has been an attending physician in the Yale Electrophysiology & Cardiac Arrhythmia Program for the last five years. His work involves both clinical care and research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders through advanced device therapy and ablation techniques.
