Jason A. Staples is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at North Carolina State University. His research focuses on Ancient Mediterranean Religions, particularly Early Judaism and Christian Origins. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2016), an M.A. from Florida State University (2007), and a B.A. in Religion (2004).
Dr. Staples is the author of Paul and the Resurrection of Israel (2023) and The Idea of Israel in Second Temple Judaism (2021), as well as numerous articles exploring Pauline theology, Jewish identity, and early Christian thought. His work bridges biblical studies, cultural analysis, and contemporary theology, often engaging with science fiction and film to contextualize ancient religious ideas.
