Jasneet Kaur is an Assistant Professor at Brock University in the Department of Physics and Engineering, Faculty of Mathematics and Science. Her research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of nanostructured materials for clean energy and environmental applications.
- PhD in Physics, Eternal University, India
- MSc in Physics, University of Delhi, India
- BSc (Honors) in Physics, University of Delhi, India
Dr. Kaur's lab develops surface-engineered multifunctional materials for energy storage (batteries, supercapacitors, water electrolysers) and environmental remediation (water treatment, antimicrobial coatings). Research employs advanced microscopic and spectroscopic techniques.
- Mitacs Elevate Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018–2020)
- Invention to Innovation (i2I) Skills Training (2020–2021)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of Naples Federico II (2015–2017)
- Research Excellence Award at Indo-Global Education Summit-2013 (2013)
Her funded projects by NSERC Canada, Mitacs, and Brock University support graduate student research opportunities. Teaching assignments include courses in nanotechnology, experimental physics, and condensed matter physics.
