Andrew Dickens is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Brock University's Faculty of Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from York University (2017), an M.A. from the University of Toronto (2011), and a B.Sc. from the University of Manitoba (2010).
His research explores:
- Long-term economic development pathways
- Cultural and geographical determinants of economic systems
- Political economy frameworks in emerging economies
- Historical evolution of economic structures
His publications demonstrate consistent focus on quantitative historical analysis and political economy, with geographical techniques emerging in recent work. Research spans economic history, cultural economics, and development economics.
