Jasna Aleksova is a Research Fellow at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Monash University, affiliated with Monash Health. Her research focuses on bone health, chronic kidney disease, and endocrine disorders, with particular emphasis on fracture prediction, vascular calcification, and osteoporosis mechanisms. She leads projects investigating bone and muscle health in men with chronic kidney disease and improving clinical care for kidney transplant patients.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. Key collaborations include projects with Professors Elder, Ebeling, and Milat. She holds the RACP Diabetes Australia Research Establishment Fellowship (2022).
Notable research outputs include studies on femoral strength in ovarian insufficiency, cortical hip parameters in kidney disease, and the inverse relationship between aortic calcification and trabecular bone scores in dialysis patients. Her findings advance understanding of comorbid skeletal and vascular pathologies in chronic diseases.
