Jasmine Fledderjohann is a Professor in Sociology and Social Justice at Lancaster University's School of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on global health inequalities, particularly food security, nutrition, and reproductive justice.
Research interests include:
- Social justice frameworks in health and well-being
- Global food insecurity and sociocultural dynamics
- Intersection of technology and aging populations
- Reproductive rights in climate and policy contexts
Current projects include the UKRI-funded FLF: Food Insecurity, Intrahousehold Dynamics, and Lifecourse Outcomes (2020–2027) and ReproNorth (2024–2025), which centers reproductive justice in Northern England. She also leads the DSI: Equity for the Older initiative (2022–2025) addressing digital inclusion.
Scientific awards:

PhD supervision is limited to global food insecurity topics due to funding constraints. She collaborates with research groups including the Centre for Alternatives to Social and Economic Inequalities and DSI - Society.
