Jasmin Ramovic is a Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies in the Politics Department at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on local actors in conflict-affected settings, particularly their economic dimensions, and interdisciplinary approaches to international relations, blending anthropology, political economy, and peace studies. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester (2013–2017) and an MPhil from the University of St Andrews (2006–2007).
Her work addresses social contracts in post-conflict societies, self-management practices, and Balkan dynamics. Notable achievements include the 2020 Outstanding Teaching Award and 2021 Supervisor Award from the Faculty of Humanities. She has collaborated with UN and EU missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Recent research includes policy briefs on social contracts and participation in global forums like the Geneva Peace Week and the International Peace Institute's Policy Forum. She actively organizes conferences, such as the 6th Manchester Peace and Conflict Studies Conference (2023), and participates in international academic events.
