Jasmin Hutchinson is a Professor of Exercise Science and Sport Studies and Graduate Program Director for Sport and Exercise Psychology at Springfield College within the Department of Exercise Science, School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership.
Her educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy from Florida State University (2004), Master of Science from Eastern Illinois University (1999), and Bachelor of Science from Loughborough University (1998).
Her research centers on psychophysiological aspects of exercise behavior with primary focus on affective responses to exercise, effects of music during physical activity, and attentional focus mechanisms in sport contexts. She investigates how physiological responses interact with psychological states to influence exercise adherence and athletic performance.
Major recognitions include:
- Fellow of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology
- American Psychological Association's Sport and Exercise Psychology Paper of the Year (2018)
