Jaroslaw Lis serves as Adjunct Instructor of Music at Connecticut College since 2019, with concurrent faculty appointments at Trinity College and Hartt School Community Division. He additionally holds the position of acting Principal second violin with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and serves as chamber music director/conductor for the Music Academy International in Trentino, Italy.
His academic credentials include:
- M.A. summa cum laude from Frederic Chopin University of Music (Warsaw, Poland) with Polish Ministry of Culture scholarship
- Artist Diploma and Master of Music from Yale School of Music
Specializing in string performance, Lis maintains an active dual career as both performer and educator. His artistic work centers on violin and viola mastery within orchestral and chamber contexts, informed by collaborations with legendary figures including Yehudi Menuhin and Krzysztof Penderecki. Pedagogical focus spans violin/viola technique, chamber ensemble coaching, and orchestral conducting across international settings.
