Jared Lewis is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington. His research focuses on developing catalytic platforms for challenging chemical reactions, blending organometallic, enzymatic, and hybrid catalyst systems. He holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois (2002) and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (2007).
- Education:
- B.S. in Chemistry, University of Illinois, 2002
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley, 2007
His research interests include chemical biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, with emphasis on carbon-carbon bond formation via catalytic carbon-hydrogen activation. Recognitions include the Packard Fellowship, Searle Scholar Award, NSF CAREER Award, and Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award.
No publications are listed here, but his work bridges synthetic chemistry and enzymology. The Lewis Group actively develops novel catalytic strategies for sustainable chemical synthesis.
