Dr. Jaok Kwon-Hein is a Research Fellow & Lecturer at the Institute of East Asian Studies, Heidelberg University (since 2025). Previously, she held positions including Assistant Professor (2016–2023) and Research Fellow at the University of Heidelberg, alongside visiting roles at Seoul National University and SungKongHoe University. Her research focuses on transnational labor mobility, gender studies, and East Asian sociopolitical dynamics, with notable work on Korean migrants in Germany and rural women's roles in South Korea's developmental state.
