Janne Mäkelä is an Academy Research Fellow in the Department of Technical Physics at the University of Eastern Finland. His research focuses on developing advanced imaging and biomechanical assessment techniques for osteoarthritis, particularly using novel contrast agents in computed tomography and quantitative MRI methods. His work aims to enable earlier detection and better therapeutic monitoring of cartilage degeneration.
