Janice Knebl, DO, is the Interim Chair and Professor of Internal Medicine & Geriatrics at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, part of the University of North Texas Health Science College. She is a member of the Institute for Healthy Aging and actively contributes to research teams studying aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and geriatric healthcare needs. Her expertise includes subject recruitment for Alzheimer’s studies and balance-related research in elderly populations.
Education:
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
- Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Joseph's University
- MBA from Texas Christian University
Research Interests: Alzheimer’s disease, geriatric healthcare, age-friendly care models, osteopathic treatment for elderly patients, and improving healthcare systems for aging populations. She collaborates with the Texas Alzheimer’s Research and Care Consortium to advance early diagnosis and prevention strategies.

- Principal Investigator (PI) for multiple grants, including the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program and Workforce Enhancement in Healthy Aging.
- Collaborator on projects addressing systems-level changes in aging care and technology-driven solutions in geriatrics.
