Janette Atkinson is an Academic Visitor at University College London, renowned for her pioneering research on visual and cognitive development from infancy through childhood. Her work explores cortical processing mechanisms, with a focus on the 'dorsal stream vulnerability' hypothesis in developmental disorders.
Research Interests: Spanning vision science, neurodevelopmental disorders, MRI-based brain imaging, and pediatric neurology, her studies address milestones in typical and atypical visual processing, including motion sensitivity, attention, and global form analysis.
