Janet Walker is a full Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. She has held leadership roles including Past Associate Dean, Director of the Professional LLM in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Director of the Mooting Program. Her academic journey includes a BA (Hons), MA, LLB (Osgoode), and DPhil (Oxford).
- Research Interests: International Litigation and Arbitration, Comparative Procedure, Advocacy.
- Key Affiliations: Secretary General of the International Association of Procedural Law; President of the Canadian Branch of the International Law Association; Academic Advisor to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Professor Walker has lectured globally, including at Monash, NYU, Oxford, and Tunis II, where she has led the International Lawyers for Africa Tunisian National Committee. She co-chaired the International Law Association’s 72nd Biennial Conference and the International Association of Procedural Law’s Toronto Conference.

She serves as an arbitrator for ICC and ICDR, consults on international litigation, and has been the Law Commission of Ontario’s first Scholar in Residence. Her editorial work includes leading The Civil Litigation Process and Class Actions in Canada.
