Dr. Janet Pritchard is an Assistant Professor at the McMaster University School of Interdisciplinary Science, specializing in the intersection of Osteoporosis, Type 2 Diabetes, and Geriatric Medicine. Her research focuses on aging populations, frailty assessment, and clinical decision support systems for osteoporosis care.
- Education: PhD in Medical Sciences (McMaster University, 2012), BSc in Human Kinetics (University of Guelph, 2007)
Her work evaluates standardized electronic medical record tools for implementing osteoporosis guidelines across Ontario's healthcare systems, funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Ontario Graduate Scholarship Fund. She has also contributed to medical imaging studies on bone and muscle composition in diabetic patients.

Dr. Pritchard teaches courses in Human Pathophysiology, Nutrition, and Epidemiology, with a focus on aging and chronic disease management. Her community service includes nutrition workshops for older adults and collaborations with the Ontario College of Family Physicians and OntarioMD.
