Janet Merriman

Janet Merriman is a Lecturer in the Department of Construction and Concrete Industry Management at South Dakota State University. She serves as the ABET coordinator for the construction management program and holds professional engineer licenses in South Dakota and Mississippi. With over 20 years of experience, she retired as a Commander from the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps (CEC), where she led Seabee units and managed construction projects from entry to executive levels. Her teaching portfolio includes courses on construction methods, project management, soil mechanics, and capstone experiences.
