Janet Austin is Professor of Law at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in securities regulation, white-collar crime, and international enforcement of financial crimes. With extensive prosecutorial experience at Australia's Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, she brings practical insights to corporate crime scholarship.
Her research examines market manipulation, insider trading, whistleblowing systems, and cybercrime enforcement challenges. Recent publications analyze pump-and-dump schemes, whistleblower award programs, and securities trading for start-ups. Her book 'Insider Trading and Market Manipulation' has been translated into Mandarin.
