Janelle Varveris is an Associated Faculty member at The Ohio State University, specializing in Iberian Peninsula literature and culture. She holds a Bachelor’s in Spanish (with a minor in French) and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from Kent State University. Currently, she works as an educational therapist and has eight years of high school Spanish teaching experience, now transitioning to college-level instruction. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creating engaging, supportive environments to foster language proficiency and cultural understanding.

Research interests include language pedagogy, bilingual education, and the intersection of culture and education. She is actively pursuing a PhD to advance her academic career.
