Nadia Gosset

Nadia Gosset serves as a Lecturer in French at Wichita State University within the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literature, Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She teaches Introductory, Elementary I, Elementary II, and Intermediate French courses while serving as the First Year Seminar instructor for the department.

Her educational foundation includes a degree in Clinical Psychology from Picardie’s University in Amiens, France. Prior professional experience encompasses five years supporting victims of domestic abuse at a French women's counseling center, followed by leadership of the St. Albans French community parenting group 'Les petits amis' in the United Kingdom and French tutoring roles.

Gosset's pedagogical focus centers on immersive French language instruction with emphasis on practical communication skills and cultural fluency. Leveraging her native French fluency alongside English and Spanish proficiency, she designs curricula that integrate real-world language application and Francophone cultural contexts across beginner to intermediate levels.

She actively cultivates campus Francophone engagement through her dual roles as moderator of WSU's French Conversation Group 'La Papote' and faculty advisor for the university's French Club, creating structured environments for linguistic practice and cultural exchange beyond formal classroom settings.
