Jane Wong is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Western Washington University and Editor-in-Chief of the Bellingham Review. She holds an M.F.A. in Poetry from the University of Iowa and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington. Her research focuses on Asian American poetry, migration studies, digital humanities, and interdisciplinary arts. She explores themes of marginalization, cultural identity, and food writing through her creative and scholarly work.
Her creative output includes poetry collections How to Not Be Afraid of Everything (2021) and Overpour (2016), as well as the memoir Meet Me Tonight in Atlantic City (2023). Her poems and essays have appeared in Best American Poetry, American Poetry Review, McSweeney's, and Ecotone, among others. She has exhibited interdisciplinary art at the Frye Art Museum and Richmond Art Gallery, including the solo show After Preparing the Altar, the Ghosts Feast Feverishly (2019).

Jane's work bridges creative writing and scholarly inquiry, including her Poetics of Haunting project. A first-generation college graduate, she draws from her upbringing in a Chinese American restaurant to inform her teaching and writing on food culture.
