Z. Jane Wang is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. She received her B.Sc. from Tsinghua University (1996) and M.Sc./Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut (2000, 2002), all in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining UBC in 2004, she was a Research Associate at the University of Maryland, College Park (2002-2004).
Research Focus: Her work spans signal/image processing and machine learning, with applications in:
- Deep learning interpretability and adversarial robustness
- Medical image analysis (cancer classification, 3D registration)
- 3D human pose estimation for healthcare monitoring
- Neural connectivity modeling (Parkinson's disease research)
- Digital media security and forensics
Honors & Service:
