Jane Stephenson is Lecturer in Midwifery at Sheffield Hallam University, where she serves as module lead for 'Midwives as Educator' in the BSc Midwifery program. A qualified midwife with experience in rotational and community settings, she is trained in Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE).
Her clinical practice spanned the full continuum of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care including hospital and home birth support. Stephenson's research examines midwifery education practices, particularly infant feeding education and clinical preparedness for students.
She contributes to teaching across the undergraduate midwifery curriculum and facilitates Collaborative Inquiry in Clinical Workplaces (CICW) modules.
