Dr. Jane Menzies serves as Senior Lecturer in International Business and Business Postgraduate Coordinator at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Business and Creative Industries. With a PhD in Management from Monash University, she researches gender equity in international assignments, women's entrepreneurship, SME internationalization (particularly in China), and transitional challenges for international students. Her work has received funding from the Australia China Council and Council for Australia Latin America Relations.
Menzies' investigations focus on cross-cultural business dynamics, including Indigenous business internationalization and DEI in global organizations. Her publications analyze expatriation barriers for women, SME innovation pathways, and pedagogical approaches for international student success. Recent articles examine AI in global business, regional workforce development, and systemic gender disparities in academia.
As an experienced HDR supervisor (completing 5 PhDs and 2 DBAs), she contributes to international business education through programs like the Master of International Business. Menzies holds leadership roles in ANZIBA and has led study tours across Asia, Europe, and Africa.
