Jianhua (Jane) Zhang is a Lecturer in International Business and Logistics at the Faculty of Arts and Society, Charles Darwin University. She holds a PhD in International Business from Charles Darwin University and specializes in teaching management disciplines. Her research focuses on emerging market multinational enterprises (EMNEs), liability of foreignness, and dynamic managerial capabilities.
Education: PhD in International Business (Charles Darwin University).
Research interests include International Business, Management, Marketing, and challenges faced by EMNEs in overseas markets. Her 2023 conference paper explores cognitive legitimacy deficits and institutional embeddedness in EMNEs. Jane has presented at ANZIBA (2019, 2023) and SMS (2023).
Awards: Selected for prestigious programs including AIB Junior Faculty Consortium (2023), ANZIBA Early Career Scholars Consortium (2024), and ANZIBA Female ECR Mentoring Programme (2024).
Advising: Registered to supervise postgraduate research since 2013. Active in reviewing for AIB, ANZIBA, and SMS conferences.
Key project: Principal Investigator for 'A comparative analysis of the liability of foreignness of Chinese firms operating in Australia' (2013–ongoing).
