Jane Chudleigh is a Senior Lecturer (Research and Teaching) in Child Health at King's College London's Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation. She holds roles such as Deputy Head of Department and External Examiner at Dublin City University. Her academic background includes a PhD in infection control from London South Bank University (2002) and postdoctoral work at Great Ormond Street Hospital/UCL Institute of Child Health.
Her research focuses on newborn bloodspot screening (NBS), particularly communication strategies for delivering positive results to families and incorporating next-generation sequencing into screening protocols. She has led NIHR-funded studies like ReSPoND (2017–2020), which developed co-designed interventions for NBS communication.
