Jane Ball is an Assistant Professor at the CAS School of Arts & Creative Industries, specializing in interdisciplinary visual arts practices. Her research focuses on Drawing, Fine Art Sculpture, Installation, and socially engaged projects. She holds external roles as External Examiner at Leeds Beckett University and University of Chichester, and serves on the Steering Group of the National Association for Fine Art Education.
Her work explores site-specific installations, collaborative projects, and the intersection of art with societal contexts. Notable projects include exhibitions like Fiddleheads and Fronds (2018) and Six Artists Celebrate Enid Marx (2018), which blend environmental themes with communal participation.
Jane has actively contributed to academic discourse through conference participation, including organizing the Fine Artist as Public Performer event (2008) and speaking at the Athens Institute for Art, Education and Research (2011). Her creative practice emphasizes dialogue between traditional art forms and contemporary societal issues.
