Research Interests
Dr. Reitzner's work bridges medieval monastic studies and early modern Reformation history. He examines how monastic traditions influenced late medieval liturgical practices (Die Verba Seniorum monograph, 2022) and explores theological debates in Reformation-era Europe. His recent work on the Gregorian Mass (ZKG 2024) highlights liturgical developments in 12th-century France. He also engages in systematic theology through translations of Bruce McCormack's works on Barthian theology.
Publications Trends
His publications emphasize interdisciplinary approaches: combining historical analysis (e.g., medieval liturgy studies) with systematic-theological reflections (e.g., translations of McCormack). Recent reviews demonstrate expertise in late medieval piety, Reformation-era doctrine, and early modern European church networks.
