Jan Elvenes

Dr. Jan Elvenes is an Associate Professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Department of Clinical Medicine. He is a member of the Bone and Joints research group, focusing on orthopedic surgery, osteoarthritis, and secondary fracture prevention programs.

His research spans cartilage biology, mesenchymal stem cell applications in regenerative medicine, and clinical strategies for fracture prevention. Key projects include the Tromsoporosis initiative, which improved anti-osteoporotic drug adherence among Norwegian patients, and studies on cartilage repair mechanisms.
