معرفی
Dr. Jan Andries Post is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science of Utrecht University, Netherlands, specializing in Cell Biology, Neurobiology, and Biophysics. With a PhD in Molecular Biology (1989), he has held various academic roles since 1985, including research fellowships and leadership positions in Biomolecular Imaging and Graduate School Committees.
- Education: B.Sc. (1982), M.Sc. (1985, cum laude), Ph.D. (1989) in Biology, Universiteit Utrecht
- Key Appointments: Ph.D. student (1985-1989), Postdoctoral Fellow (1989-1992), KNAW Research Fellow (1992-1997), Associate Professor (1997-2009), Chair (2009-2013), and current Associate Professor (2014-)
Dr. Post’s research focuses on Cell Biology with advanced Electron Microscopy techniques, including FIB-SEM and Electron Tomography. His work bridges Life Sciences and Molecular Biotechnology, particularly in endothelial cell dynamics, neuronal polarity, and nanoparticle-cell interactions.
Notable contributions include 3D imaging of axon initial segments, intracranial aneurysm analysis, and HER2 detection in cancer. He actively participates in academic committees, chairs Bachelor Biology examinations, and contributes to Graduate School of Life Sciences programs. His methodological innovations in immuno-electron microscopy and oxidative stress studies have shaped modern cellular research.
