Jamile M Shammo

Dr. Jamile M Shammo serves as a Professor in the Department of Medicine within the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, specializing in Hematology and Oncology. She is board-certified in Hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathologists, reflecting dual expertise in clinical hematology and laboratory medicine.

Her research focuses on rare blood disorders, particularly Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH), where she leads clinical trials for novel combination therapies. Recent work includes a Blood journal-published trial demonstrating improved outcomes for PNH patients through innovative treatment approaches.
