Jamie Worden serves as a Dual Credit Instructor in the Art Department of the School of Education at Valley City State University (VCSU), partnering with Larimore Public School to deliver college-level art courses to high school students since 2017.
Her academic background includes a BFA in Visual Arts with Coaching minor from University of North Dakota (UND), a Master of Science in General Education with Art minor from UND (2012), and a Library Sciences LMO2 Degree from VCSU (2019). Her educational journey began with Interior Design studies at NDSU before shifting to Art Education under mentorship from her art-professor uncle.
Ms. Worden specializes in dynamic art pedagogy, emphasizing Art Education innovation through continuous curriculum expansion with new artistic mediums. Her current focus includes Stained Glass technique integration, for which she is developing grant proposals to enhance student experiences. She actively promotes the universal value of creativity across all career paths through her teaching philosophy.
As founder and advisor of Larimore High School's highly active Art Club, she mentors students in extracurricular artistic development and prepares them for collegiate art programs. Her dual-credit initiative bridges secondary and higher education, enabling students to earn college credits while reducing degree-completion time and costs.
Her work exemplifies practical application of Library Sciences in educational settings, leveraging her VCSU degree to create resource-rich learning environments. She maintains strong community engagement through student art shows and campus visits to VCSU's Art Department.
