Jamie Peck is a Professor of Geography and Canada Research Chair in Urban & Regional Political Economy at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and a Distinguished University Scholar. He holds a Global Professorial Fellowship at the Institute for Culture and Society, Western Sydney University, and honorary visiting professorships at the University of Oxford, Nottingham, and Manchester.
His research focuses on geographical political economy, neoliberalization, and capitalist transformations, particularly in Hong Kong and South China. Recent publications include co-edited volumes on urban studies and market dynamics.
Peck has received global recognition, including the 2020 American Association of Geographers’ Distinguished Scholarship Award and inclusion in Clarivate’s list of top social scientists. His work has been translated into 15 languages.
