Harvey’s research focuses on the socio-spatial dynamics of capitalism, urban inequality, postmodernity, and the dialectical relationship between economic systems and cultural transformation. His influential works include Explanation in Geography (1969), Social Justice and the City (1973), and The Condition of Postmodernity (1989). He has also authored companions to Marx’s Capital and Grundrisse, examining capitalist structures through a Marxist lens.
Recent activities include participation in the 2024 CPCP conference on abolition geography and contributions to debates on neoliberalism, racial capitalism, and anti-capitalist praxis. His work bridges geography, political economy, and social theory, emphasizing the role of spatial processes in shaping global inequalities.
