Professor Jamie Murphy is a leading academic in Psychology at Ulster University's School of Psychology, part of the Faculty of Life & Health Sciences. He holds the position of Deputy Director of the Administrative Data Research Centre in Northern Ireland (ADRC-NI), a collaborative initiative focusing on public health research. His career includes roles at Nottingham Trent University and extensive research funding exceeding £13m from bodies like the ESRC and Horizon 2020.
Education: Ph.D. in Psychology from Ulster University (2007). Professional roles include Module Co-ordinator for the MSc in Applied Psychology (Mental Health and Psychological Therapies).
Research Focus: Mental health epidemiology, psychopathology in youth and adults, trauma studies, and refugee mental health. Utilizes administrative data analysis and population surveys, with a focus on socio-economic factors and public health policy.
