Wynn's work bridges rhetoric with disciplines like biology, mathematics, and digital humanities. He investigates how numerical data influences scientific debates, analyzes communication strategies in climate change discourse, and explores the role of digital tools in democratizing scientific research through citizen science initiatives.
His publications focus on mathematical rhetoric (e.g., Evolution by Numbers), digital citizen science (e.g., Citizen Science in the Digital Age), and interdisciplinary communication (e.g., Arguing with Numbers). These works highlight the intersection of technical precision and persuasive argumentation in scientific contexts.
