James Walters is a Professor in Practice at the London School of Economics (LSE), affiliated with the Department of International Relations. He serves as founding director of the LSE Faith Centre and LSE Religion and Global Society, established in 2014 to promote religious literacy and interfaith leadership. His work bridges theology, philosophy, and political science, focusing on religion’s role in conflict, global society, and public discourse.
Education: Studied theology at Cambridge University. Professional Affiliations: Priest in the Church of England, honorary canon at Chichester Cathedral, and member of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Academic Board. Research Interests: Interfaith relations, religious conflict dynamics, and contemporary geopolitical issues. Publications include books like Loving Your Neighbour in an Age of Religious Conflict (2019) and numerous articles exploring religious narratives in modern contexts.
