James S. Roberts is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s School of Psychology and serves as the Quantitative Psychology Program Coordinator. His research focuses on advancing item response theory (IRT) models, particularly unfolding models for measuring psychological constructs such as attitudes, satisfaction, and personality differences. He developed the GGUM2004 software, widely used in global research, and his work has been recognized by the NSF CAREER Award. His current research extends unfolding models to multidimensional domains and explores longitudinal measurement challenges.
