James Minogue

James Minogue is an Associate Professor in the Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences at North Carolina State University (NC State), serving as Director of Undergraduate Programs and Elementary Education Program Coordinator. He specializes in science education with a focus on haptic feedback technology, game-based learning, and teacher development. His research explores how tactile and digital tools enhance K-12 science education.

Dr. Minogue holds a PhD in Science Education from NC State (2005). He has taught elementary science methods courses since 2005 and previously held a tenure-track position at The College of New Jersey. His work emphasizes integrating haptic technologies and game-based environments to improve conceptual understanding of abstract scientific phenomena.

Key research projects include the NSF-funded ASPECT project (Advancing Science Performance with Emerging Computer Technologies) and PERCEPT (Physics Education Research and Computer-Human Interaction).
