James Michael Fraley is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology, University of Texas at Dallas. His teaching focuses on persuasive communication intersecting multimodal rhetoric, cultural semiotics, and behavioral/social psychology.
Education:
- PhD in Rhetoric from Texas Woman's University (2021)
- Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Composition from Tarleton State University (2014)
- Bachelor of Arts in English from Tarleton State University (2010)
Research Interests: Fraley's work explores persuasive communication through visual, aural, spatial, linguistic, and gestural signifiers, grounded in multimodal rhetoric, semiotics, social psychology, narratology, and social constructionism. His research addresses mediated communication challenges in global networks, especially with AI advancements.
