James Hanson is an Associate Professor of Religion at St. Olaf College, where he teaches courses focused on literary, historical, and theological interpretations of the New Testament, Jewish-Christian relations, and the intersection of religion and the arts. He holds a Ph.D. in New Testament and Christian/Jewish Origins from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary (including study in Germany and an internship in Brooklyn, NY), and a B.A. in English and Religion from St. Olaf College.
