James F. Pasley is Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) at Park University, a position he has held since May 2017. He is also a Professor of Political Science, having been promoted to this rank in 2013. His administrative roles at Park include former interim dean (since August 2016), associate dean of the Hauptmann School of Public Affairs, chair of the Department of History and Political Science, and program coordinator for political science.
Education:

- M.S. in Defense and Strategic Studies, Missouri State University
- Ph.D. in Political Science, Louisiana State University
Research interests focus on US Foreign Policy, Strategic Studies, and the US Presidency. His work has been published in journals like the Journal of International and Area Studies, Social Science Perspectives Journal, and White House Studies Journal. He has collaborated with the U.S. Army as an analyst and role player at Fort Leavenworth’s Mission Command Battle Lab.
Professional affiliations include the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA). Prior to Park, he held faculty positions at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and St. Leo University.
