James Davey

Dr. James Davey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Dalhousie University, Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on computational protein design, molecular modeling, and synthetic biology, with a particular emphasis on epigenetic modifications and their role in disease. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa and conducted postdoctoral research at the Georgia Institute of Technology supported by an NSERC fellowship.

Dr. Davey’s work combines computational strategies for protein design with experimental validation through genetic circuitry and gene transcription studies. His lab develops methodologies for modeling protein interactions and epigenetic manipulation, aiming to create novel biotechnologies for targeted DNA modification.
