Dr. James Carr is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Limerick, with a part-time academic role. His research focuses on anti-Muslim racism, intersectionality, hate crime, and political economy. He has authored over 70 publications, including the seminal book Experiences of Islamophobia: Living with Racism in the Neoliberal Era (2015). Carr has received prestigious awards such as the Advanced Scholar Award (2010) and the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship (2010).
